It may only be a surf spot, but this wave continues to be under threat from a new Aluminium plant. Few of us may ever surf this wave, other than the local crew due to the cold, but it is still a classy break and the loss of any natural resource like this should be fought against wherever it is. Iceland as a whole is one of the last areas of wilderness in Europe, parts of this wilderness are being industrialised mostly by the Aluminium industry feeding off the cheap natural power available there.
